Teens Resource and Enhancement Centre International (TREC International) is a non- governmental organization that provides leadership direction, mentorship, value-based educational training and promote community development practices for Teenagers and Youths in Africa. We serve as a national platform/catalyst for advancing quality teens/youth development and proper welfare system.
We champion the course of leadership development, good governance and youth involvement in national development.
We help African Youths/Teenagers discover their sphere of Leadership, develop and deploy their potentials for national transformation. Our strength is in engaging the youth potential positively, develop their skills and transform it into a change-platform. We train youths to serve as Role -Models to the Teenagers in their different sphere of society and talent. Our passion is to create a new Nigerian dream which will impact the african continent by unleashing the potentials of Young Nigerians so that the drive toward peace, entrepreneurship and personal development can be sustained.

Our key interest is to provide our African emerging leaders with a unified and viable platform to harness their potentials, creativity, and passion productivity for global competitiveness, enterprise and contribute to national transformation. We are constantly working towards the emergence of a new, better, peaceful, safer and more prosperous Africa through youth development, enterprise promotion and constant transformational leadership trainings.

We work with other world bodies in charting a part for a new Africa where peace, security, justice, prosperity, enterprise and development will reign. Hence, we are fully committed to developing young generational thinkers with grounded values and no-excuse leadership culture that will transform their families, organizations, communities and nations to greater levels of peak performance and development.

Our mission is to assist African teenagers and youths realize their dreams and develop their God given potentials to it’s peak through continuous leadership capital empowerment initiatives, continental conferences, international exchange programs, providing them with local and foreign opportunities to express thierselves as well transforming them into agents of re-orientation and change.

To achieve this, we develop and deploy Youths to different spheres of the society for leadership and quality management: the family, government, education, business, arts and entertainment, sports, social services, communication and media, religious sectors and science and technology, health care, culture and tourism. They are to use their various platforms to develop viable solutions and empower teenagers.

We also achieve our vision through organizing various kinds of developmental project ranging from seminars, workshops, confrences, mentorship camp program, advocacy, community Impact project, school training, developmental academies, parent-child developmental program, exchange programs, online activities, competition, picnics, excursion, award winning programs, home training, publication, film production, radio and television broadcasts etc.

Since inception, TREC International has reached hundreds of thousands of youths through its different programs. We have empowered over 107,000 youths on transformational leadership, entreprenurship seminars, HIV/AIDS awearness seminars, Teens health workshop, project management bootcamp among others. ORGANIZATIONAL OBJECTIVES

The objectives of this project are as follows:

· To provide leadership direction for emerging African leaders and mentor them into leadership

· To become a continental body that brings youths from African nations together for the course of championing continental transformation and leadership development.

· To provide a platform for African teenagers to contribute to nation growth and development

· To provide various open opportunities for African Teenagers to express their Talent and develop their potentials.

· To discuss issues relating to the problems of the Teenagers through the use of the media and talk shows/conferences.

· To promote proper welfare for teenagers within African nations.

· To assist in structuring good and positive impact relationship between the teenagers and the players in orientation and re-orientation cycle (the parents/family, religious bodies, the media, learning institutions etc)

· To offer counseling to Teenagers on different areas of the interest and challenges.

· To assist the Teenagers discover, develop and deploy themselves.

· To champion re-orientation and empowerment of the minds of the teenagers.

· To advance educative and healthy interaction among Teenagers.

· To inculcate positive societal values in the Teenagers for a better Nigeria.

ORGANIZATIONAL GOALS

Our Partners: we will partner with other foreign and local credible non governmental organizations, media house and the outreach part of it , could be done in/with institution of learning, communities, secondary schools, cities , churches, mosques , youth based organizations, interested individuals ,foundations and other form of academic institutions.

STATEMENT OF PROBLEMS/JUSTIFICATION FOR THE FORMATION OF THIS CENTRE

Africa is one of the continents of the world and popularly referred to as a third world nation. Nigeria as the giant of Africa is faced with a lot of problems which affect the healthy living of her citizens. It has also been noticed that whatever that affect Nigeria without adequate control goes ahead to affect other nations of africa. A major study and attention on Teenagers reveal that they are faced with the issues of societal influence, lack of understanding of purpose and lack of clear direction as they journey to adulthood. Following the above it is therefore a crystal truth that Nigeria must develop a viable measure to reduce the influence of the society on the Teenagers especially with regards to the negative influence as they are our future Leaders as this will positively impact the african continent . Therefore, Teens Resource and Enhancement Centre International (TREC International) has been established to help in molding the Character, thought & attitude of these young ones hereby preparing them to living a fulfilled and God’s designed kind of life from today. This is our way of contributing to Nigeria by raising individual/ Leaders with the right values and Godly characters.

STRATEGIES AND METHODOLOGY OF TREC INTERNATIONAL OPERATION AND EXECUTION OF PROJECT:

Our projects/programmes are both formal and informal in nature.

Formal: This will include the use of seminars, workshops, talk shows and creativity summit. This will be achieved through paper presentation, interactive sessions, experience analysis etc.

Awareness and teachings through radio and TV broadcast.

Informal: This will include the use of entertainment and awareness initiatives e.g. educative drama, Exhibition, Competitions, Picnic, Excursion and Media interviews.

We run talk shows & counseling on the following areas of the life of the teenagers.

Our weekly “Lead Program” (Leadership education and ability development program) is a platform where we constantly train, mould and transform the lives of Teenagers and ensure that they improve on their abilities for impact. 1	Partners · Diamond · Gold · Corporate	The Partners are strong and vital member of the Centre. They are accorded a high level of respect in the affairs and decision process of the Centre. Diamond Partners: they contribute financially as well as serve as coordinator of our major programme. They assist in programme design , implementation and sponsorship. They help as field officers ( this is optional) The Gold Category; they only contribute in terms of financing the Centre. We will accept and structure partnership with reputable Organizations and Institutions for the sake of achieving a valusble goal(s)
2	Facilitator	The facilitator is a field officer, trained to affect his/ her world positively. They are sent to the sector to manage the affairs of the sector. They also contribute financially towards the development of the Centre.
3	Volunteer	The Volunteer is a part time staff that is trained to help in a specific project. He or she may be retained or not. A voluntee could turn into a facilitator.
4	Special Consultant	They are external resource persons and consultants who have resolved to contribute the services to the Centre free of charge. They assist us in the area of training leaders, and speaking engagement. Their proffession does not limit them.
